Move-out checklist for AU tenancies

An exit condition report for Australian rental properties, for landlords and property managers recording condition at the end of a tenancy and comparing it against the entry condition report.

What to inspect

Complete this together with the tenant and have both parties sign it. Compare the property against the entry condition report and note any damage beyond fair wear and tear, then give the tenant a copy before agreeing the bond release.

Entrance

Check the front door operates smoothly and locks securely. Note the condition of the doorbell and entry lighting.

Check every screen is fitted, intact and closing properly.

Air conditioning

Run each unit in both heating and cooling. Note the last service date if it is recorded.

Check the barrier and any certificate or registration required in your state or territory.

Furniture and inclusions
